Attorney

Kathryn (Katie) spent her formative years in North Carolina, and attended Elon University where she completed her undergraduate degree. Following that time, she worked in campaign politics before pursuing her Doctorate of Jurisprudence at the George Mason University School of Law, in Arlington, Virginia. During law school, Katie worked as a volunteer helping families of the mentally ill obtain treatment for their loved ones. She also worked as an Assistant District Attorney under her third-year practice certificate.

After graduating from law school and passing the Massachusetts State Bar exam, Katie began her career litigating traumatic brain injury cases at Abraham and Associates in Boston. She moved to the Bay Area in 2018 to support her husband’s career, where she continued to litigate cases on behalf of plaintiffs. Katie joined Caputo and Van Der Walde as a Litigation Associate in 2021, and now specializes in personal injury litigation cases. She is admitted to the State Bar Associations of both California and Massachusetts.

Katie lives in Redwood City with her husband, Nick, and their golden retriever, Riot.
