San Jose Man Found Dead after Motorcycle Crash

Responding officers found the body of a San Jose man in the road in the early hours of June 28 after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash at the intersection of North First Street and Nortech Parkway in San Jose. As reported by The Contra Costa Times, the exact reasons behind the crash are currently unknown but being investigated.

Officials have stated that they believe this San Jose fatal motorcycle accident was a solo wreck and may have been related to excessive speed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by arriving officers.

While excessive speeds and drug or alcohol use are common factors in solo motorcycle crashes, they are not the only reasons why such accidents occur. Motorcycles rely on balance and careful handling, which can be suddenly and seriously affected by dangerous roads. Loose gravel, pot holes, cracks, uneven pavement, and many other factors that result from vehicle wear and tear or poor road construction can all cause a devastating crash. Additionally, defective motorcycle parts can suddenly fail and cause a rider to lose control of his or her vehicle, which may end in a deadly crash depending on the speed of the vehicle and the surroundings. These defects typically go unnoticed by a motorcyclist as they are not obvious in their nature and not typically searched for by the rider.
