The 11-year-old stepson of R&B singer Usher Raymond suffered a traumatic brain injury from a collision with a personal watercraft while floating on an inner tube which has resulted in him being declared brain dead. The accident occurred on July 6 on Lake Lanier in Georgia while the boy and his friends were enjoying a day at the lake, according to Reuters.

While exact details of the crash have not been released, it has been revealed that no alcohol was involved in the accident and that the victim has not exhibited any brain activity since the accident. Additionally, a 15-year-old girl who is the friend of the victim suffered injuries in the crash when she was also hit by the personal watercraft. Two rangers reportedly saved the girl while two Good Samaritans helped to rescue the boy.

It is unknown at this time what actions will be taken with the victim or what legal action will be pursued against the watercraft rider. The 11-year-old is the stepson of Usher from his marriage with Tameka Foster, which ended in 2009. The couple has two children together.
